What’s With the Rose Garden?

I am going to keep this post very short, due to the fact that I am still upset about last night’s game.  Losing is one thing, getting BLOWNout is another.  I wouldn’t even know where to begin with last night.  Bottom line, the Lakers  got beat in EVERY offensive and defensive category from the 1st period all the way to the end of the 4th.  What a terrible game.  The curse/losing streak remains in respect to the Rose Garden.  We do, however, play them one more time this season at the Rose Garden.  April 10th.  So mark your calendars and get ready for a bashing that game.  It WILL be good.

Lakers tomorrow night in Houston for another tough road game, starting at 5:30pm.  The Rockets are considered by many to be the “surprise” team down the stretch, and the way they have been playing of late, The Boys need to go in strong from the tip off.  Lets get back on track!

Welcome Back Manny

Manny Ramirez - Los Angeles Dodgers

Manny Ramirez - Los Angeles Dodgers

After 4 months of negotiations, and 5 different offers, the deal for Manny Ramirez FINALLY got done.  Welcome back to “the real” LA Manny.  So Dodgers fans break out the gloves in the outfield seats, and lets see those dreadlocks flowing again, because this is going to be a GREAT season.  The contract ended up being for 2 years and $45mil with a opt out clause after this year.  The opt out clause I actually like a lot, due to the fact that Manny will HAVE to play hard to increase his worth for next season.  Nothing but smiles of joy over here. Way to Correct Things Boys

After back to back loses to the Nuggets and the Suns, the Lakers got back on track Tuesday night against the Grizzles.  This was suppose to be a game that we dominated, and it started off that way.  The second period of the game however had me getting pretty mad.  We stopped playing defense, and we couldn’t buy a bucket.  I don’t know what Phil told them at half time, but it worked.  We came out in the 3rd quarter and just dominated.  With a HUGE lead going into the 4th Phil was able to rest all of the starters and not really have to worry about it.  The second unit stretched the lead to 20 before breaking down and having to regroup.  Towards the end of the game Phil had to look down the bench and re-insert Pau to restore quick order.  It did the trick, and the Lakers went on to win 99-89.
