Another Call of Duty 4 Post

I come to you today with this post because I haven’t played this game for quite some time.  I think in the last week I have played, um maybe 4 rounds.  So I figured that if I re-lived a battle scene and wrote some tips it would satisfy my urge to shoot someone online.  So what I plan to do is dissect a map and give some tips on how to have solid rounds EVERY time.  Now this map is one that comes up all the time.  So naturally me and my friends have played this map many times, and have ruined peoples nights over and over.  Welcome to Ambush. Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare

Well here is another post about my new addiction, Call of Duty 4.  I have been playing for a couple months now and have found that the more I play, the more addicted I get to it.  I have reached prestige level 3 now, green emerald icon for those who haven’t reached it yet.  When I first started playing my objective was to survive for as long as possible, and get a couple kills or two throughout the match.  Boy has that changed.  Now when I play I strive to complete as many challenges per round as I can, along with killing tons of enemies along the way.  The kill/death ratio per round is always a positive now opposed to a negative.  Some of my friends who are less fortunate, or as I like to say “too cheap”, and don’t have this game, spend time on my console absolutely recking my overall kill/death ratio.  I have attempted to instruct them over and over and over again in the ways of a true assassin, but for some reason they are content to sit in the background and fire their single shot guns, or shoot outlines of people on the wall.  It absolutely kills me.  So I have worked pretty hard on bringing my ratio back up to even, and then from there I will proceed in having positive numbers.  The guys I play with online are all really good.  At any given time when I’m on there are 6 or 7 others on as well, and we can all play.  It’s really funny destroying a team, who in the pre-game lobby was talking a ton of trash.  Those teams are the best, because after they experienced air-strike after air-strike, and helicopter and helicopter, they either are dead silent after the round, or they just back out and run away with their tail tucked between their legs.  It is definitely fun.  By no means am I an expert at this game, believe me I have my fair share of death, but I’ve decided to share a couple tid bits of information that you may find helpful. I LOVE THE LAKERS!!!!

For those of you who are fellow Los Angeles Lakers fans I trust that you share this same love for this team as I do.  If not, get off my blog.  Now I’m not talking about since the Gasol trade either.  I’m talking the love for the organization that I still had during the Divac years.  If you’re a real fan you’ll know what I’m talking about.  Since day one, my dad started me on the Lakers and we watched every game together.  He actually took me to a game at the Forum and we sat 6 rows behind the Bulls bench.  Now if the game was at the forum you could imagine which players I got to see.  I had the opportunity to experience the Showtime Era of the Lakers franchise.  I also experienced the down time after that.  I had the pleasure of witnessing a 3 peat within the last decade, but feared that the down time was near.  After we tried, with a roster of MEGA superstars, and failed to win the title, I could feel the rebuilding stage was here.  With Mitch Cupcake, as I called him, not making any moves it looked like sheer disaster.  Shaq got traded to Miami for trash, at the time.  Kobe was unhappy, and wanted to be traded.  He actually DEMANDED to be traded.  All the proposals I read about made me want to curl up on my bed, in the fetal position, and cry like a 2 year old.  I did not wish to go through another rebuilding year during Kobe’s prime.  It wasn’t fair.  It wasn’t fair to the fans, to Kobe, to the organization, or to basketball as a whole.  The best player SHOULD be on the best team and SHOULD win the championship.  This was not the case though.  We were standing idle and giving Kobe 4th rate players to play with.  Not one of them had the same heart and desire to win that Kobe did.  And that is a huge issue.  Granted I like seeing Kobe win back-to-back scoring titles, but I would rather see him not have to do all that scoring and win back-to-back MVP awards.  Which by the way he should have one at least already in his career, but I wont get started on that.  So after all the trade demanding done by Kobe, and the Lakers’ front office holding their ground, the season was bound for disaster.  Or was it? The Shock Heard ‘Round The World!

No doubt there are more people than not that are completely shocked by what the Giants were able to do to the Patriots. I mean, they were 18-0 and they weren’t supposed to lose? Well, during the season, it became evident that there were things you absolutely had to do if you wanted to have a chance. Obviously, nobody was able to do it. The Patriots offense was explosive, you figure out a way to disrupt it and you have a chance. That’s what it boiled down to. Continue reading

The Los Angeles Lakers Strike Again…

Just when everyone in the world thinks the Lakers are down and out, they do something like this. Remember the times before? Remember the likes of Wilt, Kareem, Shaq and Kobe and now Pau Gasol. What I mean is trades that bring the Lakers into an elite level. Continue reading

Super Bowl Sunday – Time For Kickoff

There isn’t going to be much to this post.  All I wanted to do was wish everyone a safe and fun day.  Make sure to get your beer, food, and party supplies early today.  If you’re one of those “I’ll pick everything up on the way over” people I feel sorry for you.  Where are you going to sit once the game starts?  What are you going to do when all of the good squares are taken or worse none left at all?  Those are just a couple things to think about.  So checklist for the game today: Continue reading
